My Philosophy

Technology is no longer in the future; it is here now, today, growing exponentially, while infusing itself into every aspect of our lives. As a result, we as life-long learners, need to grow and change to keep pace with today's and tomorrow's technology.

In all of my courses I attempt to address not only the current uses of technology as it grows and changes our world, but also how to develop the skills we all need, as life-long learners, to carry us through future technological developments. If we are to be successful and productive individuals in our technological world, we must be active participants of technology. Participants, not simply users.

Therefore my purpose for this blog is to share what's happening in our courses as well as to feature assignment exemplars that reflect how we, as a learning group, discover information, validate information, synthesize information, leverage information, communicate with information and, finally, problem solve with information. In a nutshell - critically think with information.

Learning never stops, the young as well as the old still have lots of learning to achieve. I am excited to be able to share the learning experience with so many vibrant, energetic people.
